We are seeking $2MM to get us to IND status.

Q Therapeutics is a private biotechnology company developing a patent-protected cell therapy product to treat a large number of neuro-degenerative diseases for which there are currently no long term effective treatments. We believe this is a multi-billion dollar market opportunity.

We are seeking $1-2 million to enable IND filing, and subsequently $2-10 million to carry out initial clinical trials. Our technology and approach have been recently validated by receipt of a $3.4 million NIH grant in 2009 for translational development of our Q-Cells® product to treat ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), based on compelling animal data.

I have attached an Executive Summary. If this profile fits your investment criteria, I would be pleased to provide you with additional information.

[...] Welcoming Andreessen Horowitz: The gang at True Ventures has a great essay on early stage entrepreneurship that ends with “If you are an entrepreneur today, this is an historic time to chase your dreams. With over $1 billion in fresh seed capital in the very early stage market, what are you waiting for?” [...]

Spot on Jon! - Anyone really paying attention to VC industry can already see whom the "new players" are and how do they represent themselves to entrepreneurs. What's going on in the VC industry is the entry and the impact of the new genration of VC's - Generation Y, meet the "E generation" of VC's (E for entrepreneurship)

Loving the venture environment today. VCs are becoming more attentive to the needs of today's entrepreneurs, as the post states. Having gotten to know a few in my area, I can certainly say that the change is noticeable. Hats off to those paying attention, and cheers to Jason M and the rest of the Group.

Marc Andreessen understands technology. Just see his forum posts during the Ning launch. He is also marketing the new VC farm very well. Hope to see some good startups.
By the way, I am not writing it for funding :-)

Totally agree and True Ventures was the most entrepreneur friendly VC that I spoke to when I was raising funds in 2006 (as I mention in my take the "is the VC market broken" meme here --> http://bit.ly/lsoTd ) Love to see more great True companies.
