According to the Merc, “moxie” is a critical ingredient for young tech entrepreneurs. Jared Kim has the requisite self-confidence in spades. Currently the CEO of WeGame at the ripe old age of 20, Kim founded his first start-up, a software company in Shenzhen, China, at the age of 16.

WeGame Launches – Congrats Jared!

We first met Jared Kim through Matt Mullenweg and Om Malik, who are both part of the True family. Because our top three investment criteria are at True are 1) people, 2) people, and 3) people, Jared’s intro to us was about as good as it gets. After hearing his entrepreneurial experiences and seeing the passion he had for WeGame, we were all in.

In a short period of time, Jared has built and released their product and assembled an incredibly talented team of people around WeGame, including Dennis Fong.
