October 11, 2008
Fitbit has successfully closed its first round of venture funding. Fitbit produces a small device with a great form factor that clips on to your clothes and gathers information about your movements through motion sensor technology like that of the Nintendo Wii, which will provide personal analytics on exercise, calories, and sleep. Fitbit launched at TechCrunch50 last month where it was runner up for the top prize. Devices will be available in early 2009.
Congratulations, James & Eric!
